Two kilometers from the village of Guern, overlooking beautiful wooded countryside, two semi-detached, stone cottages attached to an attractive, manor house, which has a magnificent, stone arched doorway.

Traditionally a wall of the family home was "given" to the newly weds onto which they built their own home and so the finished building often has different styles of architecture and is called a longere.

The manor house and longere form two sides of a south-facing courtyard, a delightful sunny location to sit, relax and enjoy a barbecue, and the 1.5 hectares of ground are a safe place for children to play and explore. The peaceful, rural setting has many marked walks through wooded countryside.

Local shopping is available in Guern, 2 kms away. Pontivy, 7 kms has a wider variety of shops, restaurants, swimming pools and the historic castle to visit. Lake Guerledan has water sports, picnic sites and the abbey and is 40 minutes away.

The towns of Vannes, Auray, Josselin make excellent day trips and the varied coast of the Gulf of Morbihan and its many islands are within 35 minutes drive. Barbecue and garden furniture are provided.

The ground floor has a large, comfortable lounge and a well-equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs; a modern bathroom with shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with two single beds.

Bed linen is included in the rent.
