Welcome to this original stone, three bedroom house, with interior beams and outside stone staircase. This characteristic Maison, set within grounds of nearly 2000m², is in a peaceful and tranquil setting with views over open countryside and woodlands nearby. It is a good base from which to tour the beautiful surrounding countryside of Brittany, with its historic chateaux, small artisan villages with their picturesque buildings, craft shops and dining establishments where you may sample the local delicacies and drinks.

This house, which was originally a chapel according to the locals, has been renovated in a manner best befitting its character. The house was also later used as storage for apples, which went into making the Cider that is a speciality here in Brittany. The house sleeps six people and is fully equipped to a good standard, with ample parking space .
On the Ground floor a large entrance hall leads to the bedrooms, shower room/WC and internal staircase. There are three bedrooms: one double, one twin and one bunk-bed room. Each room is carpeted with hanging space, bedside table and lamp. Pillows, duvets and bed linen are provided though the owners ask you bring all other linen with you (ie. tea towels and bath towels). Each room has electric heating. The Shower/WC, has wash/hand basin, electric towel rail and heater. There is also a washing machine.
The First floor has a large open plan lounge and dining area with exposed wooden beams and high ceiling, carpeted with part flooring, with chesterfields, couch and armchair. There is a small colour TV showing French programming with video player and a radio (CD/Cassette/Radio). There is also electric heating. There are also toys and games provided for the family.
The kitchen area is well equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, table and chairs and electric heating.
Location
"La Jardinet La Chapelle" lies on the outer edge of the small hamlet of Locrio, approximately 7kms from Guemene-sur-Scorff. Here you will find a supermarket meeting most needs, along with individual boulangerie charcuterie, restaurant, bars, bank and post office. There is also a Tourist Office located in Guemene-sur-Scorff.
The picturesque town of Pontivy, with its medieval origins is situated approximately 12kms away - a 15/20 minute drive. Pontivy sits upon the banks of the River Blavet, on the Nantes-Brest canal. The famous Chateau Rohan is set within its limits. The visitor to Pontivy will find a good range of shops which cater to all daily requirements, with superstores on the outskirts. Pontivy also has a Tourist Office. Within 40 minutes the coastal town of Lorient is accessible. As well as the famous town of Carnac being approximately 1hrs drive away and Vannes being approximately 1 1/2hrs away, both on the Gulf of Morbihan with its beautiful and breathtaking coastline.
Activities
On the coast there are many safe and unspoilt beaches to enjoy, where the energetic can partake in watersports and those seeking peace may enjoy the natural aspects of the coast. The surrounding areas also hold many attractions, particularly of note are the local lakes and fishing areas for those who would enjoy the quiet country life.
