All the facilities at La Grande Maison are for the exclusive use of your party. The hot tub is up and running all year round at a temperature of your choice up to 40 degrees.

This grand old stone house has been transformed into a spacious and very attractive holiday home providing all the comforts of modern day living whilst retaining its original character.

The date over the converted barn attached to this imposing village property shows 1776. Some 20 years ago this was a working farm. Nestling in the Southern Brittany countryside, the property is set within the thriving, pretty village of Kergrist, with its Boulangerie and choice of two bars each with adjoining restaurants.

On the ground floor is a huge inviting ‘eat-in’ kitchen with traditional table and seating for eight people, equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The rich red walls and original beams make it an ideal place to linger after a wine-assisted meal before adjourning to the separate large sitting room with its feature stonewall, open fire and luxurious sofas. CD player and TV/Video/DVD with Freeview UK channels if you really must!

Also on the ground floor, a fully equipped gym to combat the temptations of the local cuisine, a large bathroom and separate WC. A games room with table tennis, table football and electronic darts. A large private garden with terracing and grassed area. A wonderful bay tree centre stage! Plenty of space for badminton, football or other games provided.

There is, of course, a barbeque, essential for those balmy summer evenings.

A handcrafted wooden staircase leads to the first floor and its three bedrooms, two doubles with fully tiled en-suite shower rooms and a further twin bedded room with separate WC.

For a special treat we have an indoor Spa Pool set within the old stone walls of the former farm buildings. All the following are included in the rental price, there are no extra charges for:-

We provide a generous welcome pack, this includes 5 litres of wine and a selection of groceries. We will do any special shopping you may require in case of late arrival or special requirements

We have a private mooring on the lake for the exclusive use of any guests who may be able to bring a boat for leisure and water ski-ing.

LOCATION

The village of Kergrist is just 10 miles from the Lakes at Guerledan with its water sports and sandy beach. 5 miles to the south is Pontivy, steeped in history, formerly known as Napoleonville, with a fabulous Chateau overseeing the town with its many and varied restaurants and shops. The river Blavet and the Nantes/Brest canal run through the town. The ancient walled town of Josselin is nearby.

Further south, towns such as Vannes, with its cobbled streets and wonderful old buildings. Then of course, the southern coastline, the spectacular Gulf of Morbihan with its many islands and romantic coves is just a 30-minute drive along the incredibly quiet roads. To the north there is easy access from the ferry ports of St Malo, Cherbourg and Roscoff. Many historic towns and a wonderfully rugged coastline.

Wanting something more energetic? Golf, riding and tennis are all within 10 miles. The 'on-site' owners would be happy to make any arrangements.
